USD Rugby Club Celebrates 45 Years with Reunion & Alumni Game Sept. 26th
The University of South Dakota (USD) Rugby Alumni network has officially announced the USD Rugby Alumni Reunion, marking nearly five decades of the program's history since its founding in 1981.
All former players, coaches, and supporters from every era of the program are invited to return to Vermillion for the milestone weekend. The 2026 reunion is slated for Saturday, September 26, 2026 and will feature a weekend of events aimed at fostering alumni connection, celebrating the program's heritage, and raising funds to support the current USD women's rugby team.
An alumni planning committee is currently coordinating with the University to finalize the schedule, which will include:
- Alumni Game
- Off-campus social
- A full day of recreational activities
Organizers are encouraging alumni to save the date early, noting that the events will take place the weekend prior to USD's annual D-Days celebration.
The committee is currently holding monthly planning calls and invites any interested alumni or supporters to assist in coordinating the event. Additional details regarding the specific schedule, locations, and registration will be released as they are finalized.
